This study aimed to assess the participation of the local community in the sustainability of community
based projects (CBP) in Kasulu District Kigoma Region, Tanzania. Specific objectives included
investigating the nature and level of community participation in the development of CBPs, evaluating
the extent of CBP sustainability in the district, and identifying factors that hinder community
participation in the delivery of CBPs. The research was conducted in Kasulu District using an
analytical cross-sectional design. The findings shed light on the dynamics of community involvement
in project development, the chalenges faced in sustaining these projects, and crucial factors
influencing community participation in CBPs, contributing valuable insights for more effective
community-driven development initiatives in the region. |
