dc.description.abstract This research sought to assess the viability of Geita's community-based water supply initiatives. The research employed a quantitative methodology and a cross-sectional design. The study's sample consisted of 73 respondents, and non-probability purposive sampling was employed. Closed-ended surveys and secondary data sources were employed to get the data. Version 27 of SPSS was used to analyse the data. The Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression model became available with coefficients. According to the analysis, community-based water supply schemes benefit from demographic factors. Plans for community-based water delivery have also shown that water supply has a detrimental effect on them. However, water supply networks centered in communities have benefited from higher water usage levels. By involving the community in water delivery designs, the study indicates that demographic characteristics were important. It is necessary for the community to have access to a sustainable water supply that is both safe and of high quality. To prevent the depletion of water resources for needless community activities, water consumption levels should also be kept within the designated limits. According to the report, in order to improve the availability of dependable water supplies, the government should assist the utility companies. The study recommended future research on other Tanzanian districts, with a particular focus on the Geita district. en_US
