Abstract:
This paper assessed stress management factors on employees' performance at Alliance Tobacco
(T) Limited. The study further determined the influence of management and co-worker support
as a stress management factor on employee performance, the influence of stress coping training
as a stress management factor on employee performance, and the influence of counseling as a stress
management factor on employee performance at Alliance One Tobacco (T) Limited. Practically, the study used a case study design with a total of 95 respondents. Stratified and random sampling
was used to select the respondents on whom the questionnaire method was used to gather
relevant data and information. Primarily, the study found a strong positive relationship between management and co-worker's
support and the performance of employees. The findings imply that effective stress management, facilitated by support from management and co-workers, plays a significant role in employee
performance. Similarly, the study found a strong positive relationship between stress-coping
training and the performance of employees in an organization. The findings suggest that providing
employees with stress-coping training empowers them with skills to handle stressors effectively. Additionally, the study found a strong positive relationship between counseling and performance if
employees in an organization. The strong relationship between counseling and employee
performance highlights the significant impact of mental health support on job performance. Conclusively, the study recommends that should focus on improving managerial and interpersonal
support systems. This might involve leadership training, team-building activities, or implementing
policies that promote a healthy work-life balance. Also, by addressing stressors directly and
providing tools for coping, these organizations are likely to create a healthier work environment
conducive to higher performance levels.
