dc.description.abstract This study aimed to comprehensively assess the contribution of beekeeping to rural household livelihoods in Monduli District, Tanzania. Guided by specific objectives, the research analyzed the impact of adopting modern beekeeping methods, assessed the income impact on rural households, and investigated the social dynamics influenced by beekeeping. The target population included 148 households actively engaged in beekeeping, alongside project managers, local government officials, and representatives from supporting institutions and NGOs. The sample size comprised 108 households. Employing a multifaceted approach, the study utilized questionnaires, interviews, and document analysis. Questionnaires incorporated a Likert scale for quantitative data, while interviews and document analysis provided qualitative insights. The methodology aimed at a comprehensive exploration of the research topic. SPSS version 22 was used for data analysis, employing descriptive analyses such as frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations. Results indicated that adopting modern beekeeping methods significantly improved overall productivity and enhanced financial stability. Socially, beekeeping strengthened empowerment and well-being among beekeepers. Recommendations include strengthening the beekeeping value chain, tailored training programs emphasizing modern methods and economic diversification, integrating environmental education, fostering collaboration, and advocating for supportive policies. Community-based marketing initiatives, continuous engagement, and collaborative efforts between government bodies, NGOs, and beekeepers are essential for enhancing the overall impact of beekeeping on rural livelihoods in Monduli District. en_US
