vi ABSTRACT Procurement Management Units refers to situations where the (IPA )works to manage its tr am supply chain effectively. Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) must adapt their practic and promote environmental protection. Conduct es to be efficient t interviews, collect data analyze i make recommendations based on the results. Thi s study focuses on ensurin eft, and finally ficie effectiveness in the sales department gncyandtoimproveoveralperformanceprocurement management units. The purpose of this study is to determinehow the application will affect organizationalperformance. The surveywas used as a data collection tool. The subject ofthis studyis thefinancingandprocurementmanagementunitsofemployeesoftheTanzaniaPorts Authority (TPA),This study useda descriptive modelthat was clearlyexplainedtoparticipants; Describes the people who participated in this study. A survey was used in which purchasing and finance personnel were asked to answer questions through a brief interview on specific topics. Primary data was collected from surveys administered to purchasing and finance personnel.A total of 46 of 58 surveys were completed satisfactorily, yieldinga response rate of 79%. Written information is presented through tables, charts and graphs. This study recommends establishing close relationships with key suppliers to ensure stable supply and quality Procurement ManagementUnits. TPA must evaluate where theirlargest investments are beingmade and the benefits that can be broughtto each category.Afterlarge investments inmachinery, equipment andfacilities,thesecondlargestinvestment shouldbe madeinstocks.
