dc.description.abstract This study aims to investigate the role of tax education programs in enhancing taxpayer compliance. On explaining the effect of the tax education on improving the taxpayer’s compliance level will increase in the revenue collection through tax. The study specifically aims to analyze the awareness of tax benefits and deduction in Arusha region, to examine usefulness of tax education resources implemented by TRA in Arusha region, and to determine the tax education awareness implemented by TRA in Arusha region. The study, the researcher was adopting a cross-sectional design that was guide research process as well as quantitative approach, and qualitative approach were also used. However, the researcher was prepare the structure questionnaires for data collection where by the computations and analysis of data was conducted by using SPSS. The overall results of this study state that the taxation awareness affect some taxpayers which made them to face some penalties where by only 28.1% they didn’t face such penalties from TRA and also it shows that 52.0% of the respondents they are very satisfied with the tax education given by the respective authority. Despite the presence of several educations to taxpayers it seems that compliance of tax payer is low, therefore the findings has shown that the uses of tax education programs are, tool to drive the willingness of individual to pay tax., With tax education to individual, the national income will increase, also it has found that People who received tax education are compliant with tax rules, increase tax knowledge affect tax compliance. The study recommended that TRA should prioritize efforts to raise awareness among taxpayers regarding tax benefits and deductions. This can be achieved through various means, including digital campaigns, workshops. Also, TRA should further develop and enhance tax education programs to ensure they are informative, engaging, and accessible to a wide range of taxpayers. xii en_US
