dc.description.abstract This study was conducted to analyze the factors affecting remote working performance in Private SectorsusingEngieMobisol UK Limited as the case. The specific objectives were to examine home based and organization factors affecting remote working employees as well as explore the extent to which remote working affects organizational performance. The Social Exchange and Organizational Adaptation Theories were used in the study. The research approach that was used was qualitative and quantitative research approach. The research design that was deployed was descriptive design with mixed approach whereby the place of choice was EngieMobisol UK Limited. The population was285 Mobisol UK Limited workers from senior management to officers and 74 respondents were selected through stratified random and purposive sampling. The study used semi- structured questionnaires and documentary review to collect data. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to analyze quantitative data through frequency tables, figures and diagrams produced as outputs from Microsoft Excel. The data was interpreted through using frequency of occurrence. The study's findings showed that there was a divided opinion about productivity and adhering to schedule while working from home. The presence of Key Performance Indicators was mentioned to be the biggest factor contributing to productivity and adhering to schedule in remote working. Interference and lack of space as well as disruption to work-life balance was shown to affect remote working. Job autonomy played a large part in how the employees viewed remote working. It was recommended that the company should define in its policy clearly the works that should and should not be carried out remotely. The policy should also stipulate the ethics to be followed when working offline. Putting in place an effective monitoring system will enable the company to deal with procrastination among the employees. en_US
