EFFECTIVE OF CYBER SECURITY ON INFORMATION SAFETY AMONG INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONAL .

Abstract

The study examined the effectiveness of c be international organizations. The study was guided three specific objectives namely; to examine the cyber security performance among international organization , to determine the used the level of information safety used to ensure information safety through cyber security among international organizations. Organization The study employed the descriptive survey research designs and mixed research approach. The sample for the study was 108 which were calculated from the population of 150 using Krejcie and Morgan (1970)'s table of determining sample size_ Structured questionnaires were used to collect data from the field. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation. Findings revealed that there is good performance of cyber security among international organizations due to the fact that the organizations integrated modern and sophisticated technological cyber security devices/programs and used the use of IT experts. This ensured information safety within the organizations. Findings further indicated that the level of information safety among international organizations was high.as the international organizations took all possible measures to ensure information safety including safe storage. transmission and sharing information with backups for the stored information. Moreover, it was revealed that there are key ways that can be used to ensure information safety through cyber security among international organizations including cyber security awareness building, the use of sophisticated software the use of modem technological cyber security devices/programs. The study recommended that to ensure good performance of cyber security among international organizations, the organizations should set aside adequate budget so the investment in technology be possible. This should go hand in hand with not only using the IT experts but also to capacitate them regularly since there are rapid changes in information communication technologies. Furthermore, the study further recommended that more awareness building among the employees of the international organizations should be given in order to be well informed when they store, transmit or share information. This will reduce risks of attackers to access information. Similarly. Organizations should have special information of the organizations. The study also recommended that among of the way that can be used to ensure information safety through cyber security among international and other organizations is to make sure that the cyber laws are formulated in such a way that ensure information safety. The laws should explicitly give reasonable punishments for those who tempers with the systems for illegal accessing information.
