The study aimed to examine the impact of organizational change on organizational performance in Tanzania, using Bukoba Municipal Council as a case study. More specifically, this study has explored the effects of organizational change on organizational performance, identify the challenges facing organizational change and recommend strategies to address the challenges facing organizational change. The study has been conducted at the Headquarters of Bukoba Municipal Council. A descriptive research design and a qualitative research approach have been used in this study. The study population included heads of departments and other staff in Bukoba Municipal Council. The sample size was 41 who were selected using purposive and convenience sampling techniques. The interview and questionnaire were used to collect data. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze quantitative data and Content analysis was used to analyze the qualitative data collected from participants to decode their meaning. The findings of this study reported that, clear organizational structure, presence of innovation in working, good leadership, and good organizational values as organizational change factors influencing organizational performance in Bukoba Municipal Council. Moreover, the findings of this study reported that the perception of the participants on the organizational performance of the Bukoba Municipal Council in terms of the selected indicators was positive as findings showed that, service delivery is good, customers are satisfied, revenues have grown and customers retention rate is high at Bukoba Municipal council. Lastly, the study reported a significant relationship between organizational change factors and organizational performance. Whereas, good leadership was the only organizational change factor significantly associated with organizational performance.
