In Tanzania, the adoption and use of blockchain technology in supply chains is still early and requires more time to fully realize this breakthrough. This study intends to analyze factors hindering the early adoption of blockchain technology, A case of Ministry of E'nergy-Tanzania. Specific objectives of this study are: to identity leading factors that hinder the earl adoption blockchain technology, to examine the relationship be identified factors and thead'y adoption of blockchain technology and to develop strategies to address rac..cThathinder the eady adoption of blockchain technology. In this study, a descriptive research design was used The estudys target population was workers from the Ministry of Energys Dodoma Offices from departments. The researcher utilized simple random sampling as a probability sampling sVategy in this investigation to select respondents. A systematic questionnaire was used to obtain primary data. Questionnaires were self-administered and collected after a few days for the objectives of this study. The quantitative data gathered via questionnaire was analysed using both inferential and descriptive statistics using the Statist. Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26. The study found that to the large extent organization tamers are the most leading factors that hinder the early adoption of blockchain technology in the Ministry of Energy - Tanzania. This was attributed by the resistance and lack of management commitment support, lack of expertise and technical knowledge priority, .k of policies, cultural differences and perceived effort in collaboration and communication in the early adoption of blockchain technology. The study unveiled that to the moderate extent technological barriers hinder the early adoption of blockchain technology in the Ministry of Energy - Tanzania. This was accredit. by the complexity. security and vulnerability, network as a nature of technology, salability and cost of implementation of the early adoption of blockchain technology. The study designed that to the moderate external envronmental factors hinder the early adoption of blockchain technology in the ministry of Energy Tanzania. The eft. regulations and the revealed that Ineperceived cons.. on encouragement program, government support, proper regulations and legal framework within blockchain hinder the early adoption of blockchain technology. The study recommends that, further research on the issue should be undertaken on other government and private organisations for comparison results. Furthermore , because the study wa quantitative in nature , other researchers can conduct a comparable study ulitlizing qualitative anaytic approaches |
