dc.description.abstract ABSTRACT This study aimed at assessing the contribution of good governance elements in the implementation of ecotourism at Ngorongoro Conservation Area by concentrating on three elements, Transparency, accountability, and rule of law. Using a mixed research approach, the study assessed the adoption of three elements of good governance on how its contribution affects implementing ecotourism. The study made use of semi-structured interview guides amongst NCAA officials, questionnaire surveys amongst Local government officials and tourism stakeholders. The population of the study was 351, this population size was obtained from NCAA report of 2019, using Yamane's' formula a sample of 156 was generated. Simple random sampling was used amongst local government and tourism stakeholders. The results of findings indicate that elements of good governance contribute to the implementation of Ecotourism. Using regression analysis, results indicated that adoption of NCAA to transparency, accountability and rule of law is extremely significant to enhance and influence the implementation of Ecotourism. Accountability is often related to involvement and is also the safeguard of rule of law. Policy and decision makers should ensure that there are good governance practices in ecotourism, en_US
