dc.description.abstract This study assessed the impact of good governance practices in enhancing health services delivery in oltrumet hospital in arusha district. The study was guided by three objectives namely: To establish if accountability is in place in Arusha DC in the provision of social services. To establish if transparency is in place in Arusha DC in the provision of social services as well as to establish if participation is in place in Arusha DC in the provision of social services. This study used mixed research approaches. Mixed research approaches help to get more in-depth information and knowledge of the problem as well as provide rich datasets. This study based on an explanatory design. The population for this study was the staff members of Ottrumet Hospital in Arusha District which comprised the management and the subordinates. The interview sample consisted of six members of the management team of the hospital, and the questionnaire sample consisted of 75 staff members from different departments. The researcher conducted Interviews with the top management of the Oltrumet Hospital in Arusha District which included the heads of the department. Also. Observation as a method of data collection was used for this study whereby some things were observed from the Oltrumet Hospital in Arusha District like the accountability of people towards their actions. Findings from this study showed that, accountability is present whereby seventy-four (74) respondents have been accountable for their actions and only one said that he was not accountable. Transparency was in place and influenced by the client's charter and the standing order. The study is based on the assessment of accountability, transparency, and participation in the management of health services delivery in Oltrumet Hospital in Arusha District. The government and other stakeholders should provide Governance education is very important to on good governance and basically on the three elements create awareness among employees discussed (accountability, transparency, and participation). When employees are provided with education related to good governance it will enable the subordinates to perform their duties and make the governance situation improve for the development of the hospital. This is because the study observed that most of the subordinates were unaware of the direct relationship between them and the management team and from this point, general education on matters in comes in place due to its importance in improving service delivery. regard governance comes in place due to its importance in improving service delivery. en_US
