Abstract:
The research aimed to assess the role of data-driven decision-making in hospital administration
management: A Case of Arusha International Conference Centre hospital.
The research design used is a case study and it uses both qualitative and quantitative research
techniques, the main data collection was questionnaires which were used in this study. The
population targeted was 32 respondents and all the respondents gave a response. Data obtained
was analyzed using statistical packages.
The overall data available at Arusha International Conference Centre that is important for hospital
administration from the study findings showed that data available at AICC hospital is important for
decision making was good as 65.625% strongly agreed that data available is used for decision
making in hospital administration management, and. this indicated that AICC hospital workers are
using data available for decision-making in their various daily activities such as Outpatient and
inpatient data, Clinical data, and Diagnostic data. However, it is not 100% of the data available at
AICC are used for making decision decision-making in hospital administration.
The researcher concluded that; data available at AICC which is importantly used for data-driven
decision-making in hospital administration are outpatient and inpatient data, clinical data, and
diagnostic data.
The researcher recommends that awareness and training on data-driven decision-making should
be carried out at least once per year, by doing this would increase hospital workers' skills and
knowledge in understanding and using data-driven decision-making in various decisions
