Abstract:
This research study has been analysing the influence of Community Based Water Supply Organizations (CBWSOs) in Rural Water Projects Management in RUWASA - Karatu District Council as a case study. The study used Performance of Water Project as a dependent variable with the hindrances facing CBWSOs used as the independent variables. This study used a descriptive research design. Researcher used the purposive sampling technique to select samples for representation in the study also used 45 which include all employees of RUWASA in Karatu District. Both primary and secondary data were employed. The analysis of data based upon Binary logistic regression. The study findings indicates that most of the respondents who are RUWASA employees have accepted that the use of CBWSOs can be used in water management projects and all activities in the Agency as it is accurate in management of the projects. RUWASA employees have accepted that there is efficiency in rural water projects management when the Agency decides to use Community Based Water Supply Organization in Rural Water Project. RUWASA’s employees have accepted that using Community Based Water Supply Organization in Rural Water Project increases the efficiency. RUWASA’s employees have accepted that it is very efficient using community-based water supply organization in rural water project in the Agency as it increases transparency in project management.
