dc.description.abstract This study was carried out to assess the factors affecting effectiveness of electronic procurement system in Tanzania. Specifically, objectives were aimed at determining the influence of stakeholder’s competence on effectiveness of electronic procurement system, examining the influence of technoogical infrastructure on effectiveness of electronic procurement system in Tanzania and ascertaining the influence of management commitment on effectiveness of electronic procurement system in Tanzania. This study employed cross section research design. The target population of the study was 127 from employees from Chamwino Distric council. The study used a sample of 96 respondents. Purposive sampling technique was used to draw sample from the target population. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentary review. Collected were analyzed through quantitative methods such as descriptive analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis with the support of SPSS Software version 22. Findings revealed that stakeholders competence has strong and positive significant influence on effectiveness of electronic procurement system with significant value of 0.000 (P<0.05). The findings revealed that technological infrastructure has strong and positive significant influence on effectiveness of electronic procurement system with significant value p=0.000 (P<0.05). The findings results found that management commitent has strong and positive significant influence on effectiveness of electronic procurement system with significant value p=0.000 (P<0.05).The study concluded that stakeholders competences, technological infrastructure and management commitment has great contribution to the effectiveness of electronic procurement system in Tanzania specifically at CDC. The study recommended that the organizations should cooperate competent stakeholder, improve technological infrastructures, and provide support toward e-procurement implementation and employ staff with competencies. The study recommended similar study to be conducted in other public entities to determine if the same factors influence effectiveness of electronic procurement system in organizations. en_US
