Abstract:
This study sought to determine the influence of transparency on land allocation on conflict management among the Maasai society in Longido District. Institutional theory and human relations theory were employed in this study. The case study research design was used in this research. Citizens and Longido District officials were target population of this study. The study employed purposive and convenience sampling technique to get the representatives of the entire targeted population. Primary data was collected by using questionnaire and semi structured interview while secondary data were gathered from various sources include both published and unpublished sources. SPSS was utilized to analyse quantitative data using descriptive statistics. Findings revealed that transparency on land allocation has a positive significant relationship with land conflict management. It is recommended that further research should be carried out on effect of land conflict between farmers and pastoralists on economic growth in Tanzania.
